I bought this after buying the microwave cart. it’s very easy to put together and it has plenty of room on the inside. i needed something to put my slow cooker on and this gave me not only space for slow cooker, but for all my cookbooks and bakeware. I would have given it 5 stars if it would’ve had a shelf in the inside, but it’s just a big space that can accomodate bowls. customer

This island matched a cabinet I already had so I was very excited to find it.Shipping was very slow. It was a bit difficult to assemble but I am lucky to have a very handy husband.Unfortunatly it did arrive damaged. There was a large chip on the top and one on the drawer front.I contacted the seller “Home Store Galore” and was told to send the part numbers and they would replace.My husband was able to minimize the damage on the top but we did need a new drawer front. I sent the part number to the seller but dispite multiple emails to them I never recieved the part.  oard

After looking into many carts, this one was perfect for the small space in our kitchen under the window. We didn’t need another chopping block so the surface is perfect for us. The shelves are just right to hold my cook books. Very cute! jane

I bought this kitchen cart because the two drop leaves come down when not in use, but completely opens up to a usable extra counter space when needed. One or two people can lift up one or both of the drop leaves and eat off the newly created ‘table top’ if you have bar stool height chairs to sit on. The wheels are very heavy duty and easy to roll around where needed. It was easy enough to put together, but at times it helps to have another person hold up a piece or use another piece of furniture to help hold up an end while trying to screw certain pieces together. You have to pay attention that all pieces stay square as you proceed to screw the whole thing together. I didn’t have to adjust or cut anything to make it fit. The top was not oiled well, so I bought tung oil and re-applied to the entire top. The manufacturer suggests you oil every once in awhile to keep water from warping the wood. It took the oil well and I got all the missed areas. The drawer is a nice size and can hold utensils and boxed plastic storage bags.  marianne

Despite the very critical reviews I purchased this product because of the excellent design. I ordered from Amazon and immediately checked the parts against the part list. …It was like winning the lottery; all the parts were included. This should be advertised as a “green product”. No trees died to create this cart. Recycled wood was cleaned and expertly jointed (mated). So, grain and color may vary a bit but there’s real craftsmanship in the process. Assembly took my wife and I just over an hour. I did check the fit of each part before fastening. I did have to trim one set of dowel pegs as they were too long to permit a tight fit. I am so pleased that every screw hole lined up perfectly. No problem with assembly. …. At one point I wound string between a pair of legs as a temporary clamp which can easily be done by anyone lacking an additional set of hands to hold things in place.  clark

Shipping was timely, box was damaged and there was damage to the wood, a gouge out of the wood, we knew it was a challenge to put together by reading other reviews, good price still for what you get especially if yours is not damaged when it arrives! carla

I have been looking for a portable kitchen island/bar cart to add counter space to my kitchen for some time and this product did the trick! Its attractive and very reasonably priced. The storage is great too. I keep all my knives in the top drawer and pots and pans in the cupboard beneathe. Overall–I have been VERY pleased. likes to shop

The cabinet shipped and arrived pretty quickly. It was not difficult to put together – you probably want to have an electric screwdriver though.

When I first put the very bottom shelf in (made of something cheap like particleboard), I was worried that it seemed too flimsy, and it didn’t seem to fit very well at first. However when I put it all together the bottom fit fine, and doesn’t seem to be too flimsy after all. The rest was cake.

The piece looks nice in my kitchen and doesn’t take up too much space, which is great ‘cuz my kitchen is pretty tiny. The top is big enough to fit my toaster-oven, and the shelves hold a good amount of stuff. The doors fit on the piece well and open and close with ease.  m.w

Very nice and well made cabinet. It was easy to assemble. Even someone who is not mechanically inclined (I was a machinist for 20 years) would be able to easily assemble this piece. It is very sturdy and the finish is done very well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for this type of cabinet. edward

I priced similar counters at ikea, and this one gave me more of what I was looking for and for a lot less.

It came in 33 parts, plus 112 screws, knobs, wheels, etc. But the instructions were great! Each piece had a letter on it so there was no confusing which part was which. I laid it out and built it while watching the food network.

Some of these reviews called it a two person job, but I had zero times where I needed a second person. The very first step was a little awkward for one, but worked out just fine. The rest was a breeze, except assembling the drawers took some strength to get the screws to bite into the wood right.

The piece is assembled, in the kitchen and looks great. Also, I am NOT handy. I leave gaping holes where a screw should have been. So if I can build it, anyone could. anthony

I love my Napa kitchen center!! My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to put together with only one person. Definitely a two person job…so it took me a little longer than I would have liked to assemble, but the outcome is magnificent!! I love it love it love it! Great for a small kitchen for extra counter/cabinet space!!! sarah

I’m very happy with this product. It’s made of high quality wood, and all the pieces fit together very snugly. It’s not only well thought out and extremely useful, but also quite attractive. The cupboards are sufficient to store my frequently used pots and pans, and two drawers are nice for storing all sorts of other odds and ends. Plus the counter offers a great big workspace for chopping/cutting etc. I also like that the counter is fairly high, meaning a tall guy like myself doesn’t need to stoop too much to work on it. Once assembled, I was impressed how solid the whole construction seems.

Assembling this monster is a major undertaking. First off, just getting the enormous and rediculously heavy box from the porch to the kitchen was quite a feat. Opening up the *huge* box and seeing part after part after part come out is definitely an intimidating experience. Also the instructions are pretty bad. The pictures are too small to see certain important details, and some of the diagrams are just plain wrong. I ended up assembling and unassembling certain parts a few times before I got it right, due to the shoddy instructions. That said, the whole process took me (working alone) maybe 3-4 hours total.

Challenging installation aside, like I said before, I couldn’t be happier with the end product. And at the price they charge for this thing on Amazon, it’s an absolute steal. game maker
